The trail is about 7 miles round trip with a significant elevation gain of about 4,000 feet. When hiking this trail, you’ll come across steep switchbacks and rocky terrain that require good physical fitness and preparation.
Despite its difficulty, it is an extremely popular hike because of its incredible views at the summit, where you can see the entire Salt Lake Valley and surrounding mountains. For many, completing this hike is a big physical accomplishment and a must-do experience when visiting the Holladay area.
